Turkish Get-Up

The Turkish Get-Up is the king of functional training.

This is a total-body exercise that increases torso stabilization and overall strength. The movement is very complex and requires upper body strength to maintain a weight overhead, shoulder stability, hip and glutes strength to raise your body off the floor, and tremendous core strength.

Beginners perform this with just your bodyweight. Body weight get-ups are great for adding into your warm-up. They really are a full body exercise by themselves that promote shoulder stability/mobility, trunk/hip flexibility, core/glute activation, cardiovascular fitness, and overall great functional mobility.
